Résumé

Cet article montre, d’abord, en quoi le site de Niyanpangu-bansu est d’une grande portée historique dans la connaissance du peuplement du Borgou historique. Ensuite, il expose l’état des connaissances du site, sa problématique d’étude et les résultats de la reconnaissance archéologique et enfin, les perspectives de recherche sur l’histoire du peuplement du Nord Bénin en général.

Abstract

This article firstly shows how the site of Niyanpangu-bansu is of great historical importance in the knowledge of the settlement of the historical Borgou. Then, it presents the state of knowledge of the site, a problem of study and the results of the archaeological recognition and finally, the research perspectives on the history of the settlement of North Benin in general.
